Break a signal four ways and watch it happen.
A bit crusher from 32 bits down to 2, a downsampler up to 50x, a sine wavefolder and four kinds of digital noise. Then a speaker sim and a width control to put the wreckage where you want it.
Switch between an oscilloscope, a vectorscope and a 3D spectrum. Folding adds lobes on the scope and loops on the vectorscope, so you can see what you are doing.
A triangle fold has a sharp corner at every fold point, and every corner makes aliasing. A sine has none, and it gets antialiasing on top. Measured 7 dB cleaner than a plain fold.
Fold at 0, mix at 0, and what comes out is bit-for-bit what went in.
